The problem

The Spanish podcast scene was saturated with long, low-energy formats that failed to reflect the pace and culture of the internet. While streamers and creators were shaping mainstream entertainment, there was no talk show built specifically for their world. A format that felt native to digital culture, prioritized entertainment, and performed as content across platforms, not just as conversation.

My Creative Solution

We created Y Tal as a digital talk show designed specifically for the Spanish internet. Directed and produced by me together with FIVE Media Clan and streamer RickyEdit, the project combined the authenticity of streaming culture with the structure and production value of a modern talk show. Each episode was designed to be entertainment-first, with dynamic conversations and a visual approach optimized for social distribution, allowing the content to live far beyond the full-length episodes.

The results

In just 13 episodes, Y Tal generated over 50 million total impacts and was nominated for Best Talkshow of the Year at the ESLAND 2022 Gala. The project positioned itself as one of the most culturally relevant podcast formats in the Spanish digital ecosystem, proving the scalability and impact of internet-native content.

Explore the idea That Shaped This Project

Y Tal was created to reflect the reality of the Spanish internet at a moment when streamers and creators were shaping mainstream culture faster than traditional media could keep up. The project explored conversation, personality, and cultural relevance through an entertainment-first lens, designed to feel native to the internet rather than adapted to it.

Directed and produced alongside FIVE Media Clan and streamer RickyEdit, the show combined the spontaneity of streaming culture with the structure and production value of a modern talk show. Each episode was conceived to generate moments that could travel organically across platforms, turning long-form conversations into scalable digital content. In just one season, Y Tal reached over 50 million impacts and was nominated for Best Talkshow of the Year at the ESLAND 2022 Gala, establishing itself as a reference point within the Spanish digital ecosystem.
